On April 25 Greenways Land Trust ran a Boat to Table workshop for commercial fishermen at the KDC Health Centre. The initiative promotes direct, local, fresh and wild seafood sales from the boat to the consumer. The Trust’s aim is to raise seafood accessibility off the docks.
“We are very grateful for the enormous attention and support our workshop got from members of the fishing industry,” said Lydia Stratemann, Greenways Communications Manager. “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could walk down to the wharf on a Saturday morning and buy some delicious food from a local fisherman we know and trust?”
