A reminder that the Wei Wai Kum Nation community survey is still open and we really need male Band members and young people to add their voices to the mix! The survey was launched late last year and has been left open longer than originally planned because CCP facilitator Stephanie Slater has been acting Band Manager and working on other assignments. We will soon be closing the survey but want to ensure it’s more representative of the Nation.
So far, we have a healthy 187 responses from adults age 18 and older. That’s just over 30 per cent of the adult membership. That’s a good response rate but the there are two groups that are under-represented: men and young people. Of those who identified their gender, women outnumbered men about three to one, and we have only heard from 13 Band members who are between age 18 to 24. We also have a youth survey for Band members age 12-17 for which we only have a few responses.
Remember, not only do your responses contribute to the Nation’s Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) work, you also have an opportunity to win prizes, including our grand prizes of two iPads!
The survey only takes about 10 minutes to complete, and who knows, you may be as lucky as the winners of our most recent draw. William Bear, Ellie Parton and Fred Shade have each won $10 gift certificates to Tim Horton’s.
You can easily fill out the online survey using your computer or mobile devices or get a print copy from the Band Office.
