Due to this year’s extremely limited salmon fishery our Nation has allocated five pounds of frozen halibut o each member household – on and off-reserve.
Fish will be delivered to households on reserve on Friday, Sept. 15 between 9 a.m. and noon. If no one is home to accept delivery, the household will be contacted the following week to arrange for delivery or pick-up.
Off-reserve Campbell River residents – Friday, Sept. 15, Thunderbird Hall. Pick up your fish between 7:30 a.m. – noon.
Nanaimo – Saturday, Sept. 16, Port Place Mall (northeast corner off Front St, east of the Dollarama) 1 to 4 p.m.
Lower Mainland – Sunday, Sept. 17, Tsawwassen Mills Mall (Parking zone 5C. From 52nd St., turn onto Canoe Pass Way. Take the second left into Entry 5 and look for orange parking cones). 1 to 4 p.m.
Important: Off-reserve members must confirm their plan to pick up fish in Nanaimo or Vancouver by 4:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 14. Contact Membership Administrator Christine Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 250-286-6949 or toll-free 1-877-286-6949.
Off-reserve members are asked to bring their status card or another piece of photo identification to the pick-up location.
If you wish to designate someone to collect the allocation for your household (i.e., a person who is not listed in our membership records as a member of your household), you must make this request in writing by email (email@example.com), fax (250-287-8838) or mail (1650 Old Spit Road, Campbell River, V9W 3E8) to Christine Smith stating the name of your designate.
If you are not able to make the pick-up or have someone pick up your household’s fish, you have until Friday Sept. 22 to pick up your allocation in Campbell River. Contact Christine Smith to make these arrangements.
Fish allocations will be based on the address information the Band has on record. Contact Christine if you have had a change of address or to provide her with your email address. (If you haven’t been receiving the new weekly e-newsletter, we don’t have your email in our records).
