Summer Camp Fun and Fee Rebate

Youth Camps

The Wei Wai Kum First Nation sponsors weekly summer camps for Band member children. Summer camp hours are as follows: pick-up begins at 9 a.m. each day from individual homes and youth will be dropped off between 2:30 – 3 p.m. daily. If these hours change parents will be contacted at the start of the week.

A lunch needs to be packed every day for your youth, and this includes a full water bottle that can be refilled. A bathing suit, towel, and a change of clothes should also be packed each day. Youth can wear sandals to youth group but should also have a pair of running shoes in their bag in case the group goes for a walk.

Parents, please be aware that camps for Week 6 and Week 9 (weeks of Aug. 7 and 28) are four-day camps.

Contact Youth Worker Kirsti Creaser with any questions: 250-203-2552.

Camp Fee Subsidies Available

The Thunderbird Recreation Committee has voted to provide financial assistance for summer activity camp registration fees up to a maximum of $200 per Band member child. Fees already paid for 2017 summer camps are eligible for reimbursement. Application forms are available from the KDC Health Office.
