A community information session set for Saturday, Oct. 7 will be postponed due to the death of an elder. A new date will be announced in next week’s newsletter.
The session will focus on providing information and taking feedback on lands and housing topics as well as community safety. The event will take place at the Thunderbird Hall starting at 10 a.m. and running to 3 p.m.
Staff members and councillors will give updates on:
· Subdivision on Old Island Highway
· Riverside property (TimberWest site)
· 200-Acre parcel
· City of Campbell River’s plans for the waterfront property
· Community Safety (new patrols, concerns about wildlife and drug dealing)
Staff members will also have displays about their departments and be available for one-on-one conversations.
A special turkey lunch will be provided and there will be prize draws of turkeys!
