Walk and Expo for Reconciliation – Vancouver

September 24, 2017 / 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Sunday Sept. 24, 9:30 a.m.
650 Cambie St.,Vancouver

The Walk follows a 2 km route from Cambie St. and Georgia St. to Strathcona Park. Born from the vision of Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Gwawaenuk Elder, Reconciliation Canada is leading the way in engaging Canadians in dialogue and transformative experiences that revitalize the relationships among Indigenous peoples and all Canadians.

This event is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to make a personal contribution to the reconciliation movement. Through walking in the spirit of reconciliation you honour intergenerational lives taken, honour survivors and those impacted by the Indian residential school system, and show your support for the youth in all communities.

Afterwards, gather at Strathcona Park from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Reconciliation Expo, featuring a series of Indigenous and multi-cultural performances and a keynote speech.
