Yo!
My name is Carolyn Hebenton, I’m the new Education Coordinator for our Nation. I have lived in Campbell River both on and off reserve for a majority of my life. I am a Roberts descendant. My parents are Sheryl Thompson and Scott Hebenton. My late grandmother is Patricia Piatocka (Roberts).
I am passionate about education and learning. In 2017 I graduated from the Human Service Diploma at North Island College. I have also worked for the School District at the elementary and middle school level supporting students with their learning. I feel honored to work for our Nation and serve our people. In this position I am looking forward to supporting individuals reach their education goals. In my role as an Education Coordinator I am primarily responsible for the administration of Post-Secondary Education, Occupational Skills Training, assisting students with the Post-Secondary application process for funding, and tutoring assistance for K-12 Students. However, if you have any questions related to education please don’t hesitate to ask, I will be happy to help!
I look forward to meeting and connecting with students and community members.
Gilakasla,
Carolyn Hebenton
