· The SCIS requirements have simplified since the card was first introduced.
· Registered adults no longer need to present or mail in their birth certificates. Registered children’s SCIS applications still require a long-form birth certificate – copy or original.
· The supporting ID can be one piece as long as it is issued by the government, valid, and contains all four elements: name, date of birth, photo, and signature. If the applicant does not have one ID that contains all the elements, they can use a combination of ID’s to make up the four.
